Dubai Tycoon Donates Dh3Billion for Cancer Hospital

Mirwais Azizi, the founder and chairman of Azizi Group, has made a historic donation of Dh3 billion to establish a cutting-edge cancer hospital and research facility. This initiative aims to provide free and accessible cancer treatment to those in need, alleviating the financial burden often associated with such care.

The announcement was made during the 5th Arab Hope Makers event in Dubai, where Azizi honored his late daughter, Farishta Jan Azizi, who succumbed to cancer last year. This donation is part of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, marking the largest private sector contribution in UAE history.

The new hospital will significantly enhance cancer treatment options within the UAE, reducing the need for patients to seek medical care abroad. Equipped with the latest technology and staffed by skilled medical professionals, it will offer high-quality care to all patients.

Construction is slated to begin this year, with the facility expected to revolutionize cancer treatment in the region upon completion. Azizi’s contribution underscores his dedication to supporting medical advancements and improving healthcare access. By honoring his daughter’s memory, he is leaving a lasting legacy in the UAE’s healthcare landscape, ensuring better access to life-saving treatments for cancer patients.
